Privacy Policy
Patch Radar is a Reddit Developer Platform app. It runs on Reddit's infrastructure and stores data only in the storage Reddit provides to the app for each community where it is installed.
What is stored
- Votes. When you vote on a change, the app stores your Reddit user id with your choice for that change, so you can change or take back your vote. Only totals are shown to anyone.
- Mention counts. For comments on Patch Radar posts, the app counts how many name each hero or weapon in the patch. The comment text and its author are not stored.
- Post contents. Excerpts and parsed changes from public Steam announcements, and change history built from them.
- Settings. The games and options moderators choose.
No email addresses, IP addresses, or data about your activity elsewhere on Reddit are collected. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
What is shared
Nothing. The app makes requests only to the public Steam Web API to read game announcements, and those requests contain no Reddit data. Data is not sold, and is not used for advertising or to train AI models.
Deletion
- When a Patch Radar post is deleted, its excerpt, votes and mention counts are deleted.
- When a moderator uninstalls the app, Reddit removes the app's storage for that community.
- To have your votes removed sooner, take the vote back in the post, or send a message to u/utilityhouse on Reddit.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
